.Net Software Engineer (Migration Team)

  • This role is a fantastic opportunity to join our fast-growing IT team in Dublin, ideally suited to a C# .Net Developer with proven experience, willing to use the current knowledge and gain more in a multi-tech stack dev team.
  • The IT Department is currently going through an architectural change on the existing platform, from a monolithic system to microservices-based solution, and you will be a key part of it, having the opportunity to be deeply involved on this transformation and gain experience on both old and new tech stacks.

How you will make a difference:

  • Development using .Net, 90% backend and 10% frontend (for the ones who like it), on applications related to the airline retail industry;
  • When working on the new microservices platform, the tech stack is based on C# .Net Core, REST API, Event streaming, CQRS, domain driven design, MongoDB, Redis and Graylog, in an environment fully integrated with Docker and Kubernetes. For front end, React. Unit tests on top of everything;
  • When working on legacy monolith which is being migrated, it includes Asp.Net Webforms via C# with SQL Server. Work is needed on both old and new;
  • All the above working smoothly with Jenkins, Octopus & Bitbucket, in an integrated environment via DevOps best practices, resulting in an effective deployment process;
  • Be part of an Agile team, in an exciting, friendly and dynamic company;
  • Work in a large distributed and high-performance system;
  • Deliver the best using what you already know, while being able to learn new technologies;
  • Contribute to the entire development lifecycle from initial concept creation through to planning, implementation, QA and assisting product support teams. The aim is to produce well designed, properly structured, high quality and high performing software on schedule.

The skills you will bring:

  • Logical and analytical mindset
  • Highly proficient in C#, Asp.Net, SQL Server
  • Experience with unit tests
  • Practical work done on REST-APIs
  • 5+ years of software engineering experience
  • Having worked with Microservices architecture using .Net Core recently, even if experimentally only, knowing the main concepts
  • Experience with object-oriented programming, applying design patterns, and working with database designs and concepts
  • The usual combo: Attention to detail and results oriented
  • Someone truly passionate with learning
  • Gitflow process
  • Being a team player, willing to help others and achieve results via joint efforts

Desirable

  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS and JS, mainly React
  • Practical knowledge of any of the following: Docker, Kubernetes, Helm and Jenkins
  • Experience with MongoDB
