Manager Onboard Retail Technology

Here at Retail inMotion we are looking for a Manager to join our Onboard Retail Department. The suitable candidate will take responsibility for the operational requirements, implementation, and quality assurance of the technology applications for the Onboard Retail (OBR) programs for the assigned customers and the coordination of all relevant stakeholders, as well as compliance and assurance of the promised service targets.

How you will make a difference:

  • Contribute to the strategic development of the application;
  • Plan and coordinate further development in the assigned area of responsibility;
  • Coordinate and prioritise implementation plans and further developments as per customer requirements;
  • Responsible for obtaining and evaluating quotes within the application budgets in the assigned area of responsibility;
  • Ensure proper and auditable documentation is available;
  • Responsible for recording, reporting, documenting and rectifying operational faults within the scope of the assigned area of responsibility;
  • Review and ensure the quality of external support activities in the assigned area of responsibility
  • Coordinate external service providers within the framework of their task fulfillment;
  • Carry out quality assurance measures regarding the use of the system and all relevant software products;
  • Responsible for communication regarding system-relevant topics with the application managers in the department, IT managers in the regions and other stakeholders;
  • Advise and support the specialist departments on questions relating to applications and systems;
  • Develop concepts within the existing system landscape as well as their implementation and monitoring;
  • Responsible for the hardware availability and functionality of customer programs and all relevant processes;
  • Lead projects within the scope of the assigned area of responsibility;
  • Undertake other appropriate tasks as directed by the supervisor.

The skills you will bring:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in information technology, computer science, software engineering or a related field
  • Knowledge of task-related work processes rules and guidelines
  • Knowledge of workplace-related IT application and control systems
  • Knowledge in the support and operation of data processing applications in the respective area of responsibility
  • Management and leadership skills
  • Multi tasking and time-management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks
  • Willingness to approach your work to the highest standard, resilience and flexibility
  • Intercultural competence and willingness for business travel
  • Confident appearance and good expressiveness
  • Analytical thinking and result orientation
  • Excellent knowledge of English both written and spoken
  • Knowledge of the German language desirable
